Great service with a calm and non hurried atmosphere

The Barge

With Harvester you get a lot of food for your money but it is a family restaurant so there may be lots of noise from babies and small children. We had some issues with a novice waitress and under cooked starter but they were sorted. Free salad bar and bread ..wide choice and unlimited.

The lamb chops taste good, the steak is a class, the authentic western restaurant, the environment is very emotional, the small chandelier, the candle light, the food is also very fast, the price is more than 100 per person, the wine is good, you can try.

Restaurant &amp; food were excellent. There was unfortunately only one member of staff on duty for the bar &amp; the restaurant but he worked his socks off and we did not have any particularly extended waits. Food was delicious &amp; we all enjoyed what we ordered.

9/10. Lovely pub. Although it was busy we received our food quickly. Fantastic service. Only downside was The lasagne was slightly burnt and they offered coffee liqueur on the menu but weren&rsquo;t able to offer it.

We went at lunch time as it was our 53rd anniversary and we wanted to drink. We have been to this pub for years but some of the managers have been a little bit off as has the service but this time we had a lovely time. No rushing with a perfect lunch. Our waitress was lovely and looked after us very well. We will always visit this pub as it is a lovely walk to it along the canal but we all want a pleasant time when we arrive and this filled the brief..

We enjoyed our visit but the staff were unable to keep up with the number of customers so there were long waits. Staff were nice and the food was nice too. The large teapot is not a good idea for single order pots of tea and the dessert dishes were too small for the contents in some cases .

We have eaten here many times. Always excellent apart from the overbooked corn on the cob. Last night the restaurant was very cold which the waitress explained about but did spoil our meal rather.
